Music Heals Benefit/Roger Waters and Friends in DC
The show was an experience, not just a concert. I am an avid Tom Morello fan, so I purchased my ticket because he was one of the featured guests. Ultimately, it was the wounded warriors who gave some of the most incredible performances of the evening, some of the benefactors of the MusicCorps program. Lynyrd Skynyrd and G.E. Smith put together a powerful show. Billy Corgan and Jake Clemons rounded out a great evening of riveting performances. "Forever Young", the evening's closing tune, was very appropriate. Without a doubt, it was the highlight of my concert year, edging out the FooFighters 20th Anniversary Show on July 4th at RFK.
